The Faculty of Information Technology offers graduate studies in Computer Science for hose who completed undergraduate studies at PJIIT or other schools. The language of instruction is Polish. The curriculum is adjusted the requirements of the European Credit Transfer System. We try to monitor current trends in technology and market needs so as to equip our graduates with the best up-to-date knowledge and skills. In each semester students have to do a number of mandatory courses, elective courses and specialised courses. Each successfully completed course gives a student a certain number of credits. Subjects of master theses are chosen to meet students' interests. The following gradate programmes are available: full-time part-time weekend part-time online Graduates receive the degree of MSc.
A computer is a device that can be instructed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical operations automatically via computer programming. Modern computers have the ability to follow generalized sets of operations, called programs. These programs enable computers to perform an extremely wide range of tasks.
Computer Science
Computer science is the study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering that form the basis for the design and use of computers. It is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications and the systematic study of the feasibility, structure, expression, and mechanization of the methodical procedures (or algorithms) that underlie the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to, information. An alternate, more succinct definition of computer science is the study of automating algorithmic processes that scale. Interviewer: Is studying computer science the best way to prepare to be a programmer? Bill Gates: No. the best way to prepare is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees. I could imagine the cells in there, the complicated actions inside, which also have a beauty.
