Process
A process is a set of activities that interact to achieve a result.
Process Safety
Process safety focuses on preventing fires, explosions and accidental chemical releases in chemical process facilities or other facilities dealing with hazardous materials such as refineries, and oil and gas (onshore and offshore) production installations.
Safety
Safety is the state of being "safe" (from French sauf), the condition of being protected from harm or other non-desirable outcomes. Safety can also refer to the control of recognized hazards in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk.
Safety
Choosing safety is a choice of life over career.
Warren Farrell (2005) Why Men Earn More. p. 35
Safety
Some people talk as if meeting the gaze of absolute goodness would be fun. They need to think again. They are still only playing with religion. Goodness is either the great safety or the great danger — according to the way you react to it.
C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity (1952).
Safety
When you have overcome one temptation, you must be ready to enter the lists with another. As distrust, in some sense, is the mother of safety, so security is the gate of danger. A man had need to fear this most of all, that he fears not at all.
Thomas Brooks, p. 532. cited in Josiah Hotchkiss Gilbert, Dictionary of Burning Words of Brilliant Writers (1895).
